BJP Intensifies South Kolkata Outreach: Senior Leaders Lead 'Ghar Ghar Sampark Abhiyan' in Behala Rabindranagar
KOLKATA: In a significant push to strengthen grassroots connections in South Kolkata, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a high-profile segment of its 'Ghar Ghar Sampark Abhiyan' (Door-to-Door Outreach Campaign) in the bustling area of Behala Rabindranagar Bus Stand on 15th Feb:26
The campaign witnessed significant participation from central party leadership, underscoring the importance the BJP places on the region. The drive was led by Manoj Rajoriya, former BJP MP from Rajasthan, and Ajoy Kumar Mishra, former BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh. They were joined by prominent state and district leaders to mobilize cadres and interact directly with voters.
The Rabindranagar area was abuzz with activity as the BJP delegation, accompanied by numerous enthusiastic party workers, moved from house to house and interacted with shopkeepers near the bus stand. The primary objective of the 'Ghar Ghar Sampark Abhiyan' is to communicate the achievements and welfare schemes implemented by the Narendra Modi-led central government over the past decade directly to the citizens.
During the interactions, former MPs Manoj Rajoriya and Ajoy Kumar Mishra highlighted key central initiatives, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and infrastructure development projects, emphasizing how these schemes have benefited the common people across India. Their presence aimed to bolster the morale of local workers and demonstrate the central leadership's commitment to expanding the party's footprint in Kolkata.
Providing strong local backing to the visiting national leaders were Anupam Bhattacharya, the BJP South Kolkata District President, and Dr. Keya Ghosh, State BJP Spokesperson.
Dr. Keya Ghosh, known for her articulate stance on state issues, engaged with residents regarding local concerns, connecting them to the broader national narrative of development championed by the BJP. Anupam Bhattacharya orchestrated the logistical aspects of the drive, ensuring maximum coverage of the densely populated neighborhood.
Party sources indicated that this focused outreach in areas like Behala—often considered politically sensitive battlegrounds in West Bengal—is a crucial part of the BJP's strategy to consolidate support and challenge incumbent political forces by establishing direct voter contact. The leaders urged the residents to support the BJP for continued progress and development at both the state and national levels.
