At a time when CESC was being quoted on Twitter as saying that power services in 15 areas were normal, the real picture was different.
Why did CESC tell the Home Department that everything was normal? Why did the Home Department tweet without seeing the details of the situation? After four days without electricity, these questions are coming up in the minds of common people.
At around 1pm on Sunday, the Home Department tweeted that power supply had returned to normal in 15 areas of South Kolkata, including Jadavpur and Selimpur. It was also informed that power supply has been restored to a large part of North 24 Parganas including Salt Lake, East Midnapore and most of Nadia. But in reality, there is no electricity in more than one area including Baghayatin. Their patience has been shattered after being without electricity for four days in a row.
