of Chetla protested in front of Firhad over the rumor that the community hall
in Chetla is a quarantine center.
On Thursday afternoon, he went out to see the work of the civil workers in the
devastated area of Amfan. Even after a week, trees are still lying fallen in
several places in Kolkata, houses have collapsed in some places. Complaints
that the power connection has not come everywhere yet. He went out to inspect
all that. But the residents of his own area Chetla were left out. Allegedly, a
quarantine center has been set up in the community of the area. There are
rumors that some beds and medical equipment have been kept there. Residents protested
around Firhad Hakim. Later the administrator of Calcutta Municipality explained
to them that this was not the case. Even if some beds are kept on an emergency
basis, it is not for institutional quarantine.
