Will Sourav Ganguly attend PM modi's brigade rally in Kolkata???

There seems to be no end to speculation about former India skipper Sourav Ganguly in the run-up to the West Bengal assembly election. Political circles in Kolkata have been abuzz with a section of local media reporting that the BJP may pull off a mega surprise by getting Ganguly at PM's rally in Kolkata's Brigade Ground on Sunday.

The "news" soon spread like wildfire with BJP leaders adding fuel to it. "He (Ganguly) is under rest now but he can always come to the net for a warm up!" Bengal BJP spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said on Tuesday.

The BCCI president is currently recuperating after two rounds of angioplasty conducted in January. While Ganguly has mostly avoided speaking about the matter, sources close to the 48-year-old say he has ruled out any possibility of taking a plunge into politics for now.

When asked about the matter, Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh on Wednesday said, "I have no such information. You all seem to be more aware."
