Residents of Behala Nafar Chandra Das Road are facing frequent power cut issues over last one and half month. Several complaints have been launched by the residents in CESC office but no resolution has been provided apart from some temporary fixes. Everyday the area is remaining disconnected from the power supply for on an average of 5 hours. Today around 8 PM the residents came over the road and blocked the Diamond Harbor - Nafar Chandra Das road connector to express their agitation against CESC for the problem and hardships they are facing in this heat weave without electricity. The blockage continued over more than 1 hour and then the police came to the spot and interacted with the residents and assured them of permanent solution to this problem. The blockage was then removed and the situation became normal. The residents were very co-operative and they never blocked any vehicles providing emergency services and took lots of initiatives to ensure minimum traffic disruption.
