Not only in Bihar's Bankipur, but the BJP also witnessed a noticeable decline in votes in the by-elections held in Datia (Madhya Pradesh) and Manjalpur (Gujarat). While the BJP managed to retain Manjalpur, the Congress held on to Datia.

Four years later, the man widely known as "PK" stepped away from the role of election strategist and entered active politics. However, his political debut suffered a major setback when his newly formed Jan Suraaj Party performed poorly in the Bihar Assembly elections of November 2025. Just nine months later, however, Bihar's political landscape witnessed a remarkable turnaround. Prashant Kishor made an impressive comeback by winning the Bankipur Assembly by-election with a margin of more than 19,000 votes.
