A collision reportedly took place between India’s powerful warship INS Kolkata and a Pakistani vessel while the Indian Navy was conducting routine patrol operations in the northern Arabian Sea. On the same day, a senior diplomat from the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi was summoned by the Indian authorities regarding the incident. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with Pakistan’s response and sought clarification over the circumstances surrounding the collision.
On Thursday, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said: “We have seen Pakistan’s response to the protest we made regarding this incident. It is the same evasiveness and an attempt to suppress the truth. This is exactly what we expected. We reject all their allegations and would like to place some facts before you.”
